Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and the West Bank and Israel to the west.

It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River.

The lake's surface is 430.5 metres (1,412 ft) below sea level making its shores the lowest land-based elevation on Earth.

Mt. Everest

Mount Everest is Earth's highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas.

The China–Nepal border runs across its summit point.

Geologists have subdivided the rocks comprising Mount Everest into three units called formations.

Each formation is separated from the other by low-angle faults, called detachments, along which they have been thrust southward over each other. From the summit of Mount Everest to its base these rock units are the Qomolangma Formation, the North Col Formation, and the Rongbuk Formation.

The Nile Delta

The Nile Delta is the delta formed in Lower Egypt where the Nile River spreads out and drains into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Suez Canal is east of the delta and enters the coastal Lake Manzala in the north-east of the delta.

To the north-west are three other coastal lakes or lagoons: Lake Burullus, Lake Idku and Lake Mariout.

Since the delta no longer receives an annual supply of nutrients and sediments from upstream due to the construction of the Aswan Dam, the soils of the floodplains have become poorer, and large amounts of fertilizers are now used.

Topsoil in the delta can be as much as 21 m (70 ft) in depth.

नील डेल्टा (Nile Delta) निचले मिस्र (Lower Egypt) में बना डेल्टा है जहाँ नील नदी (Nile River) फैलती है और भूमध्य सागर (Mediterranean Sea) में मिलती है।

Sundarbans Delta

The Ganges Delta (also known as the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta, the Sundarbans Delta or the Bengal Delta) is a river delta in the Bengal region of South Asia, consisting of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal.

It is the world's largest river delta and it empties into the Bay of Bengal with the combined waters of several river systems, mainly those of the Brahmaputra River and the Ganges river.

The delta stretches from the Hooghly River east as far as the Meghna River.

Most of the delta is composed of alluvial soils made up by small sediment particles that finally settle down as river currents slowdown in the estuary.

Rivers carry these fine particles with them, even from their sources at glaciers as fluvio-glacial.

Red and red-yellow laterite soils are found as one heads farther east. The soil has large amounts of minerals and nutrients, which is good for agriculture.
