Which one of the following is the correct sequence of the given hills starting from the north and going towards the south?

उत्तर से शुरू करके दक्षिण की ओर जाते हुए दी गई पहाड़ियों का सही क्रम कौन सा है?

Correct sequence of hills

Nilgiri hills and Annaimalai hills are a part of Western Ghats. The Middle Sahyadri runs from 16°N latitude upto Nilgiri hills in the southward direction. Annaimalai hill is a part of southern section of Sahyadri. It dies to the north of Anaimudi (2695m) which is the highest peak in whole of South India.

Nallamalai range and Javadi hills are a part of Eastern Ghats between the Godawari and Krishna rivers, the Eastern Ghats lose their hilly character and the saddle between these two rivers is occupied by Gondwana formations. The Eastern Ghats reappear as more or less a continuous hill range in Cuddapah and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh.

पहाड़ियों का सही क्रम।

नीलगिरी पहाड़ियाँ और अन्नामलाई पहाड़ियाँ पश्चिमी घाट का हिस्सा हैं। मध्य सह्याद्रि 16°N अक्षांश से लेकर नीलगिरी पहाड़ियों तक दक्षिण दिशा में फैला हुआ है। अन्नामलाई पहाड़ी सह्याद्रि के दक्षिणी भाग का हिस्सा है। यह अनैमुदी (2695 मीटर) के उत्तर में समाप्त होती है, जो पूरे दक्षिण भारत की सबसे ऊँची चोटी है।

नल्लमलाई श्रृंखला और जावड़ी पहाड़ियाँ पूर्वी घाट का हिस्सा हैं। गोदावरी और कृष्णा नदियों के बीच, पूर्वी घाट अपनी पहाड़ी विशेषता खो देते हैं और इन दो नदियों के बीच की काठी गोंडवाना संरचनाओं द्वारा भरी जाती है। पूर्वी घाट आंध्र प्रदेश के कडप्पा और कुरनूल जिलों में एक अधिक या कम निरंतर पहाड़ी श्रृंखला के रूप में फिर से प्रकट होते हैं।

Javadi Hills

These are an extension of the Eastern Ghats spread across parts of Tirupattur and Tiruvannamalai districts in the northern part of the state of Tamil Nadu.

They consist of bluish gray granites.

The hills are sparsely populated; the majority of the inhabitants are Malayali tribes people.

जवाड़ी हिल्स।

ये तमिलनाडु राज्य के उत्तरी भाग में तिरुपत्तूर और तिरुवन्नामलाई जिलों के भागों में फैले पूर्वी घाट (Eastern Ghats) का विस्तार हैं।

ये नीले-भूरे ग्रेनाइट्स (granites) से बने होते हैं।

पहाड़ियाँ विरल आबादी वाली हैं; अधिकांश निवासी मलयाली जनजाति (Malayali tribes) के लोग हैं।

Western Ghats

The Western Ghats or the Sahyadris run in North-South direction parallel and close to the Arabian Sea coast, from the Tapi valley to a little north of Kanyakumari for a distance of about 1600km.

The height of the Western Ghat increases from north to south.

The Western Ghats slope gently on their eastern flank.

Thalghat and Bhorghat are important passes which provide passage by roads and railways between the Konkan plains in the west and the Deccan plateau in the east.

पश्चिमी घाट।

पश्चिमी घाट या सह्याद्रि उत्तर-दक्षिण दिशा में अरब सागर के तट के समानांतर और करीब, तापी घाटी से कन्याकुमारी के थोड़ा उत्तर तक लगभग 1600 किमी की दूरी तक फैले हुए हैं।

पश्चिमी घाट की ऊंचाई उत्तर से दक्षिण की ओर बढ़ती जाती है।

पश्चिमी घाट की पूर्वी ढलान धीरे-धीरे होती है।

थालघाट (Thalghat) और भोरघाट (Bhorghat) महत्वपूर्ण दर्रे हैं जो पश्चिम में कोंकण के मैदानों और पूर्व में दक्कन के पठार के बीच सड़कों और रेलवे द्वारा मार्ग प्रदान करते हैं।
