Anaimalais

The Anaimalais also known as the Elephant Mountains, are a range of mountains in the southern Western Ghats and span the border of western Tamil Naduand central Kerala in Southern India.

Anamudi Peak (2,695 metres) lies at the southern end of the range and is the highest peak in southern India.

The Palakkad Gap is the mountain pass which divides it from the Nilgiri Mountains.

अनैमलाई (Anaimalais), जिन्हें एलीफेंट माउंटेन्स (Elephant Mountains) के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, दक्षिणी पश्चिमी घाट की एक पर्वत श्रृंखला है और यह दक्षिणी भारत में पश्चिमी तमिलनाडु और मध्य केरल की सीमा पर फैली हुई है।

अनामुडी चोटी (Anamudi Peak) (2,695 मीटर) श्रृंखला के दक्षिणी छोर पर स्थित है और यह दक्षिणी भारत की सबसे ऊँची चोटी है।

Cardamom Hills

The Cardamom Hills or Yela Mala are mountain range of the southern Western Ghats located in Idukki district, Kerala, India.

The Western Ghats and Periyar Sub-Cluster including the Cardamom Hills are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

कार्डमम हिल्स (Cardamom Hills) या येला माला (Yela Mala) दक्षिणी पश्चिमी घाट (Western Ghats) की पर्वत श्रृंखला है जो इडुक्की जिला, केरल, भारत में स्थित है।

पश्चिमी घाट (Western Ghats) और पेरियार सब-क्लस्टर (Periyar Sub-Cluster) जिसमें कार्डमम हिल्स (Cardamom Hills) शामिल हैं, यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर स्थल (UNESCO World Heritage Sites) हैं।

Nilgiri Mountains/ Nilgiri hills

The Nilgiri Mountains form part of the Western Ghats in western Tamil Nadu, India.

The highest peak being Doddabetta, at 2,637 metres.

The Shevaroy Hills are a towering mountain range near the city of Salem, in Tamil Nadu, India.

It is one of the major hill stations in Tamil Nadu and in the Eastern Ghats.

शेवरॉय हिल्स।

शेवरॉय हिल्स (Shevaroy Hills) तमिलनाडु, भारत के सलेम शहर के पास स्थित एक ऊँची पर्वत श्रृंखला है।

यह तमिलनाडु और पूर्वी घाट (Eastern Ghats) के प्रमुख हिल स्टेशनों में से एक है।

Eastern Ghats

The Eastern Ghats run almost parallel to the east coast of India leaving broad plains between their base and the coast.

It is a chain of highly broken and detached hills starting from the Mahanadi in Odisha to the Vagai in Tamil Nadu.

They almost disappear between the Godavari and the Krishna.

Geologically they are Precambrian fold mountains and the younger contemporary to Aravalli.

In Tamil Nadu, they are called Shevaroy Hills, Javadi Hills.

In Andhra Pradesh, they are caled Palkonda range, Vellikonda range and Nalamallai hills.

पूर्वी घाट (Eastern Ghats) भारत के पूर्वी तट के लगभग समानांतर चलते हैं, जिससे उनके आधार और तट के बीच चौड़े मैदान बनते हैं।

यह एक अत्यधिक टूटे और अलग-अलग पहाड़ियों की श्रृंखला है जो ओडिशा में महानदी से लेकर तमिलनाडु में वैगई तक फैली हुई है।

वे गोदावरी और कृष्णा के बीच लगभग गायब हो जाते हैं।

भूवैज्ञानिक रूप से ये प्रीकैम्ब्रियन (Precambrian) फोल्ड पर्वत हैं और अरावली के समकालीन हैं।
