Sarabandi (no tax) campaign

It was led by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in Gujarat in 1922.

In this campaign, the peasants decided not to pay the taxes to the Government.

साराबंदी (नो टैक्स) अभियान

यह सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल के नेतृत्व में गुजरात में 1922 में हुआ था।

इस अभियान (campaign) में, किसानों ने सरकार को कर (taxes) नहीं देने का निर्णय लिया।

He was an Indian revolutionary from Maharashtra (then Bombay State).

He is known mainly for his involvement in the assassination of a British police officer named John Saunders.

He was an active member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA).

On 23 March 1931, he was hanged by the British India government along with his associates Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev Thapar.
